Crown Reduction

 

Crown reducing is usually undertaken when the canopy needs reducing at the same time reducing the sail area. This is either for structural or location reasons e.g. this could be that the tree is too close to a structure or overhead services.

 

Crown Thinning

 

Thinning is used to reduce branches within the canopy and to allow light to penetrate, which will encourage growth of existing small twigs in the interior of the tree.

 

Crown Lifting

 

Crown lifting is usually carried out on lower limbs to reduce contact with pedestrians, vehicles, buildings and to prevent the lower canopy overhanging pavements and roads.

 

Dead Wooding

 

Dead Wooding is carried out when there is evidence of dead wood and a safety factor is involved, such as wood falling, which may cause injury to a person or damage to property.

  

Felling
  

Felling is carried out when trees need removing either they are dead and dangerous or unwanted trees'. They can either be straight felled providing there are no obstructions and room, or they will be section felled which will minimize damage. 

 

Planting
  

We can provide you with professional advice on which trees you should plant depending on the area and quality of soil. We can supply trees and ongoing maintenance once they have matured.

  

Pollarding

 

Pollarding is the technique of mainting a tree at a specified height. Pollarding is a high maintenance task and would require re-pruning every 2 to 5 years.

 

Pruning

 

We offer a pruning service and with over 25 years of experience we can give you advice on the different methods of pruning.

 

Stump Grinding

 

We provide a stump grinding service where the stumps are ground out to 6 to 7" below ground level. This help to reduce the obstruction cause once a tree has been felled.
